SCGP said in a press release: “In order to develop together with other industries in Vietnam and meet the increasing demand for packaging products, SCGP decided to build a new large-scale complex in Yong Phuoc through the Vina Paper Mill for new capacity expansion. Increase packaging paper production facilities to increase the production capacity of approximately 370,000 tons per year. The area is located in northern Vietnam and is a strategically important area as well.

   SCGP stated that the investment is currently in the process of environmental impact assessment (EIA), and it is expected that the plan will be completed in early 2024 and commercial production will begin. SCGP pointed out that Vietnam’s strong domestic consumption is an important export base, attracting multinational companies to invest in Vietnam, especially in the northern region of the country. During 2021-2024, Vietnam’s demand for packaging paper and related packaging products is expected to grow at an annual rate of about 6%-7%

Volga transforms newsprint machine into packaging paper machine

The most important thing is to meet the highest standards of employee safety, including fire safety, sprinkler systems, etc., covering the entire area.

“The newly launched production line is fully automatic,” added Bartos Nimes, the manager of the Brzeg plant. The internal transportation of forklifts will improve work safety and optimize the flow of raw materials. Thanks to this solution, we will also reduce excessive storage.”

  The new factory is located in the Skabimir Special Economic Zone, which is undoubtedly very conducive to investment. From a geographical point of view, the new plant will help to shorten the distance with potential customers in southwestern Poland, and also have the opportunity to establish partnerships with customers in the Czech Republic and Germany. Currently, there are 120 employees working in Brzeg. With the development of the machine park, VPK plans to hire another 60 or even more employees.
